Let’s start with a bit about you! Can you tell me about HR Star and the types of clients you typically work with?

 

HR Star has now been going for 10 years!

We provide a whole suite of HR support, from HR admin tasks to helping clients elevate their people strategy to meet business goals and everything in between.

We work with a really broad range of businesses of all sizes from 8 to 100 employees in all sorts of sectors from creative agencies and hospitality to care, IT and SEO agencies.

It’s all about people – we’re experienced in working with businesses that are growing out of that startup phase and starting to scale and supporting them through the changes they experience.

We’ve found that as businesses evolve, they need to start thinking about standardising processes to really support your people and avoid any growing pains.

It’s really fulfilling to be part of business in this phase and help them grow and flourish.  

What made you decide to partner with Stribe for employee engagement and feedback?

 

The low per-person cost was a huge draw, along with the platform’s design and user experience.

It’s very cool and not like your typical tool – certainly not like Microsoft Forms!

What really stood out was how easy it is for employees to remain anonymous, which is crucial for honest feedback.

The safety of anonymity ensures that people will feel comfortable sharing their true thoughts, which is key for valuable insights.

Was there anything about Stribe that really stood out to you compared to other options?

 

Stribe’s customisability is a major plus and makes it feel really relevant.

It’s so easy to embed surveys into Slack or email, making it really accessible for employees.

I love the visual appeal – it’s aesthetically pleasing, and the little gifs that pop up after answering questions really help build engagement.

The platform feels relevant and works across a diverse workforce which is essential for our clients.

How do you use Stribe in your work with HR Star?

 

We primarily use Stribe for regular engagement surveys – mostly quarterly – and more ad-hoc check-ins.

A lot of clients like data and want to see trends over time, so having a structured approach helps them track progress and make informed decisions.

We also use it for onboarding surveys – checking in at one week, six weeks, and beyond to ensure new employees feel supported. 

Sometimes it’s as simple as sending a quick ‘How are you today?’ pulse check, but we have also started using Stribe for other things such as feedback on training sessions, which has been incredibly useful.

For example, after a recent session we sent out a five-question survey and got instant insights that helped us shape future training. 

One of our clients, have also fully embraced Stribe’s shout-outs feature, using it to reinforce company values through the year.

Their employees aim to achieve at least one shout-outs per value, which feeds into their annual company awards. It’s a great way to track and celebrate cultural alignment in a meaningful way. 

 

How easy was it to get Stribe up and running with your clients?

 

Really easy!

Setting up was seamless, and the process was straightforward for both us and our clients.

Tell me a little more about the services you provide. How does Stribe slot into those?

 

Stribe very much supports us from a people insights perspective and the work we do around that.

It’s particularly useful when we’re evaluating specific projects or more broadly employee experience or engagement over time.

For example, we can show clients where they were six months ago and where they are now based on survey data.

If we see changes, we can dig into the data to understand why, explain the shifts, and conduct a lessons-learned review.

We also look at survey differences, feedback themes, and use it as a basis for implementing improvements like recognition programs or reward systems.

Stribe helps us demonstrate our own impact as an agency, showing the value we bring to clients.

Can you share a great example of a client who’s really benefited from using Stribe?

 

A great example is the work we’re doing with a PR agency who had never surveyed their people before.

Their first Stribe survey delivered really positive results, and it was great to present the findings to them while offering suggestions for further improvements.

The feedback provided invaluable insight into their team’s temperature, gave us new ideas on ways we could support staff, and helped us make informed decisions for future changes and projects.

What kind of feedback have you had from customers using Stribe? Any standout reactions?

 

One of our clients – a travel agent –  has been a standout case.

They really embraced Stribe, especially how it helps them track shout-outs tied to their company values.

The value in Stribe comes from its response rate.

I also love how the response rates for their surveys are consistently high – 80% or more, which feels like a great success!

Has Stribe helped you build stronger relationships with your customers? How so?

 

Absolutely.

Having clear, data-backed evidence from surveys has added credibility to any suggestions or ideas we make.

For instance, one of our client’s teams wanted to improve the inclusivity and diversity around their policies and procedures, for example, the way they structure bank holidays.

We were able to take that feedback, provide insights, and offer solutions that resonated with the team.

What’s been the biggest way Stribe has helped you add value for your customers? Any moments that stand out?

 

One of the biggest benefits is how quickly Stribe allows me to gather feedback and insights from employees.

I can share a link to a recent survey, provide an executive summary, and get results in real-time.

The turnaround time is incredibly valuable – there’s no need to do any analysis and I don’t have to think about an Excel.

The reports are reliable and easy to interpret – there’s limited room for human error – which means I can trust what I’m seeing and spend more time focusing on actionable insights.

Has Stribe changed the way you work with clients or made anything easier for you?

 

It’s made things so much easier. I always know Stribe is my go-to survey tool, and it saves me a lot of time. It also lets me work more efficiently with clients, especially when I’m presenting data quickly and clearly.
